The O’Fallon Blaze is an amateur baseball club that was founded in 2012 by Matt Cantonwine. The team was created to bring competitive adult baseball back to O'Fallon, IL. The team is currently managed by founder Matt Cantonwine with Bryan Stauder and Jonathan Kessler acting as assistant managers. In 2013, the Blaze competed in the Johnny Mac’s Men’s Baseball League (formerly the St Louis MSBL), playing a 22 game schedule. In 2014, the Blaze competed in the Mon-Clair Baseball League. The Mon-Clair league is comprised of ten teams from Illinois and Missouri. Nearly every team has a roster full of current/former college athletes or former professionals. It is taken very seriously and is regarded as the most competitive summer league in the area; it gets coverage by local newspapers and stats are printed in their sports sections. We will be playing our home games at Blazier Field in O’Fallon, Illinois, which is known for having an all-turf infield. The team also has connections to the Bulldogs (managed by Tony Molina) and Big River Blues (managed by Ben Perry) in the St. Louis Men's Baseball League (formerly JMMBL/MSBL). These teams will become official partners of the Blaze organization in 2015.
